Mr. Tutela is a PE in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and a Water Systems Operator in Rhode Island. He is a member of NEWEA, WEF, BSCE, MWWA, NEWWA, CSI, NWPCA and AWWA.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Mr. Tutela has been engaged in the practice of consulting engineering for over 45 years and has managed over $600 million worth of construction. His experience includes wastewater and storm water collection and conveyance systems, wastewater treatment systems, industrial pretreatment, hazardous waste site remediation, water distribution and treatment systems, urban renewal projects, highway and street design, bridges and a variety of buildings. Mr. Tutela's extensive experience and knowledge of Construction Laws and Codes have resulted in his opinions being solicited for expert testimony in several multi-million dollar court cases. the following highlights some of his more notable projects:
Design and Construction of the 23 MGD Cranston, RI, wastewater Treastment Plant and 77 MGD Providence, RI, Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Program Manager for the award winning Cranston, RI, Industrial Pretreatment Program, which includes the inspection of industries as well as monitoring industrial discharges.
Design Review and Evaluation of the 210 MGD Southwest Philadelphia, PA, Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Rehabilitative design measures for 18 wastewater pumping stations in Cranston, RI, and design and construction management for the Seaview Avenue Wastewater Pumping Station and forcemain in Cranston, RI.
